In the fall of 1996, Alesa-Alusuisse (presently known as ALCAN) contacted Metal 7 to discuss a coating application to eliminate electric current transfer in air and gas ducts in their aluminium plant operations. This mandate was in conjunction with their plant expansion project with the group in Iceland.

A ceramic coating was applied to the internal and external surfaces of two hundred and fifty-six (256) round and rectangular ducts.

This large project was over a period of six (6) months. Metal 7 fabricated and applied a ceramic coating to these ducts.
