The type of nylon used in making bushings of iron ore pallet cars, has been tested at high pressure and at low revolution and offers excellent resistance to friction.

The bronze pallet car bushings now in use have a reputation for rapid wear as well as adding to the wear of other parts thus resulting in high maintenance costs. Formothane, a company with over 30 years experience in polymer replacement parts, has developed nylon pallet car bushings that are very resistant thus offering an alternative to high cost parts and maintenance.

The type of nylon used in making bushings of iron ore pallet cars, has been tested at high pressure and at low revolution and offers excellent resistance to friction. Formothane, through a process of adding a solid lubricant to the pallet car bushing adds a prolonged resistance to friction.

Formothane’s nylon Iron ore pallet car bushing, outclassed existing bronze bushings in terms of weight (lightness), longevity and ambient noise. Acquisition costs for these nylon bushings greatly reduced replacement costs. In certain applications The Formothane iron ore pallet car bushing had a life span of (3) three years as compared to the (3) three months for the bronze bushings, as well as reducing maintenance on the parts in contact with the bronze bushings.
